Wednesday 1st October
MR BLUE SKY
Very
little happening as at 1500 BST (23:30 local). We are about 600 nm from Bali.
Still no wind, fortunately we have around 1000 nm range with the diesel on
board, assuming of course the engine doesn't give up on us! The generator is
known to be a bit dodgy and cut out this morning whilst I was vacuuming! But
started again easily. Vital organs for this yacht are steering, mast, engine,
water maker and generator. Lose any of them and we have
difficulties!
So,
little to tell, we just toddled along during the day with a blue sky a few wisps
of cloud, completely flat sea and very hot weather. I spent a lot of the day
asleep and made a chicken stir fry for dinner, Malcy was finishing off his knife
holder and fixing a fan in the aft cabin, Ian fixing in the repaired dinghy
floor and working on his movie maker slide show (its really good) and Lindsey
making lunch, practicing with her guitar and keeping in touch on the SSB with
Ian's chums behind us and whose yachts name we can't spell, but something like 'Enderlich'. It's a Norwegian name
apparently!
Night
time now of course and I am on an easier watch tonight 10:30 till 01:00. So its
goodnight from me!
