And we are off. The main event has begun and we had a great couple of hours leaving Cape Verde with strong winds. Alas the gentle breeze is upon us for the evening so progress will be slow I fear but more time to enjoy the journey. All a bit surreal really, you plan this for so long and now you not quite sure what to make of it. I am sure we will settle down to life at sea in the next day or so and start to take it all in.
