Another day of 2 halves.
The morning saw skipper and crew practice their sextant skills, which afterwards, involved Mark’s weathered old instrument being taken apart screw by screw and put back together again – we’ll know if it works when we’re on our way.
The riggers turned up around lunchtime and spent a good few hours, during which they removed the spreader (see if you can notice in the photo below). We don’t think a new one will be available, though we’re still hoping. But they seem confident that they can make a workable repair.
