Lene Hammersland is the Skipper and joint owner with her cousin Cecile of Las Primas, (Las Primas means cousins in Spanish) which has carried the two women all the way from Oslo to Gran Canaria. These intrepid cousins have been sailing together since they were 12 years old and enthusiasm certainly hasn’t waned. Both women have decided to take a year’s leave of absence from their jobs. Lene is a Police Lawyer, while Cecile is an accountant and notably an electrician as well! She is also currently sidelining as a Hairdresser and apparently making a grand job of Lene’s hair! The girls will be joined on the second leg of ARC Europe by Stine Bjørndal Osnes who works with insurance. The goal is to enjoy every minute of their Atlantic crossing, while sailing as fast as they can.
