Anastasia - Port St Francis

34:11.0S 024:51.1E

Port St Francis is a small fishing port situated next to a squid factory, but it has a smart new marina surrounded by holiday cottages.  The marina has only private berths but some of the owners let them out to visiting yachts.  The port is actually only 50 miles from Port Elizabeth and we only stopped there because it was highly recommended by Sato from Umineko. Alan, who is currently travelling on Umineko arranged berths for us. It was a bit of a tight squeeze for Anastasia because the largest berth was 9 metres wide, which gave us a gap of 25 cm each side.  We managed to fit in, although our fenders were severely squeezed on each side.

It has been getting continually colder as we move south down the coast and now we are back in sealion territory.  One little guy spent the day hanging out under Anastasia.  They can be quite cute as long as they don't come onboard.

Andrea went for a run with Corrine and found a porcupine quill.
