We are now a few hours outside Cairns, having travelled overnight from Townsville. I have arranged to get the mainsail repaired here because the slab reefing blocks and lines have been chafing and causing tears in the leech of the sail.
Bertie and Daniel did an eating challenge on our last night in Townsville. This involved eating a huge plateful of food, including a kilo of steak, in under half an hour. Apparently not many people do succeed, but they both managed it and got the T shirts. Bertie says he has now retired from eating challenges (F3A)
