Crazy Horse - March 21

Somehow we were all a bit too excited and preocuppied for me to remember to blog yesterday. Oh my, how could I do that? Well, we arrived in Grenada yesterday at around 6pm. It was a whirlwind of power getting here with Crazy Horse going for the barn yet again. The wind died and Bill just blasted on with the engine and amazingly we made it before dark. The captain was bellowing on about not caring about the engine hours at this point and the temp is fine! Of course Matt and I were looking at the temp gauge non-stop. But she made it and now on to the repairs I hope. Don't want to chance a repeat with that hose.

Today I will bring all the tons of laundry to get washed and dried. We will clean out the bilges, get to customs, get to the bank and get some EC, and defrost the freezer and refrig. I'm sure there are more things on Bill's list for us to accomplish. A sailors work is never done....

Last night when we arrived Paul was there in the dinghy to guide us into the dock. After we tied the lines he then appeared with some wonderful Caribbean Rum Punch. It was quite tasty though I keep myself to only one. Grand Filou was here of course and had arrived in the am. Later we all tested out the food here in the marina and it was good. The marina is quite lovely even in the dark. They have wonderful concrete floating docks here with massive power receptacles. We should all have enough power here to run a/c s, computers, etc. They have a laundry facility, pool, restaurant, and glorious showers. This looks to be a wonderful island and they have much to do here with the spice factories, hiking, beaches, snorkeling.and of course shopping.

This is the last formal leg of the World Arc 2010-2011 Rally. All that's left is to cross the finish line in St. Lucia and celebrate. It is so hard to believe that we have come so far. It will take me a long time to process that we have really gone around the world. I can imagine some of us will be starting the celebrations before we ever get to St. Lucia. This was still a long voyage with many challenges and a celebration is always called for after arriving safely. When Basia, Eowyn, Tucannon,Arriane, and Jeannius come into this marina there will be one long sigh of relief and much appreciation and thanks that they made it safely. I think a good round of horn honking and such is in order!

So off to make coffee and start our day on land. Wow, there is no rocking or heeling going on. I just realized that.

Rosemary, Bill and Matt
