Morgane of Sark - log

Hi, here another note of the Morgane of Sark. Today was a lovely day. The weather was nice, the waves were smooth. So, we had our table out to write and draw. Sat on the aft deck to relax, read and listen to music. It was a day at sea as you wish for. The only drawback is that we are moving a bit slow sometimes. But we don’t mind, we prefer comfort over speed. We didn’t try the Gennaker today. Just sticked with the main and jib on the portside.

We even had a real dinner at the table. By now, we really are fans of our Crockpot😀. Tonight we had eggplants and squash with tomato, onion and garlic in it. With the left over of the couscous a great, healthy and tasteful meal. Herco got a piece of chicken with it. He and Evy are the only ones to eat meat. And we celebrated this day with some ice cream as desert. It’s nice to have a freezer on board.

By now, it’s 19:20 and still not dark. We clearly are shifting a bit in the timezone. We just took our fishing gear in again. The only thing we caught was a big piece of plastic. Well, at least it is out of the ocean.

Our current position is N19 53.7 W21 48.9. I made a mistake earlier with our miles sailed until now. According to our Furuno we have sailed 607 miles since we left Gran Canaria. Currently it’s a Northern wind, 5 to 10 knots and we are sailing at a speed between 4 and 5,5 knots.

Enjoying the ride so far. Ready for another night at sea.
