Easy Rider - EASY RIDER...Captain's Log...Day 11

Yesterday the Atlantic was at it's most benign....we had light winds all day and sunshine. Another relaxing day sunbathing, reading & fishing.
We caught no fish, but no matter as our freezer is full of tuna!! We were treated however, to many visits from local wild life. Yesterdays list
of visitors included many dolphins, a group of 8 killer whales, a bottlenose whale two turtles & a lot of Portuguese man'o'war jelly fish. It wasn't
a day for stopping the boat & going for a swim!!!

At 18.00 hours the wind finally backed to give us a perfect wind angle to sail straight towards Horta, our destination on island of Faial. With 8 to 10
kts of wind, Easy moved serenely along at 7 kts on a sea so calm, when sitting in the saloon, it was hard to imagine we were actually on a sailing boat!!

This morning conditions are exactly the same as last evening & with just over 100 miles to go there is growing excitement on board as we look forward
to making landfall. Our ETA in Horta is 05.30 local time.....the bars on land might be shut, but the bar on Easy will definitely be open !!!

Soy's note: not a lotta gin in the bar however! And kinda low on tonic!  Rum? Hmmmmm
