World Cruising Club, organizers of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, ARC Europe and other cruising rallies, has teamed together with Yachting World Magazine to stage an Atlantic Circuit Forum on the first Saturday of the Southampton Boat Show 2010.

Entry to the Forum is free, however as places are limited, delegates are asked to pre-register via the website at or direct with World Cruising Club.

The three day Ocean Cruising Seminar will take place from 1330 on Friday 11 March to 1500 on Sunday 13 March 2011. It covers in depth, a variety of subjects associated with the planning and preparation required for an Atlantic Circuit or round the world voyage. Lecturers have been chosen for their wealth of knowledge in their specialist fields. Special emphasis will be on the ARC and World ARC and what to expect in terms of weather and equipment issues. A number of the lecturers have sailed in the rallies and will draw on their experience from their participation in the event.

Hamble School of Yachting, the Official Training Partner for World Cruising Club participants, provides high quality training to yachtsmen at all ability levels. Proper training is good preparation for any sailing voyage and it is strongly recommended the skipper and at least one other crewmember undertake formal safety training. The ISAF approved Offshore Safety Course is given as three individual modules, each a one-day course. The syllabus aims to cover: Safety Issues - including crew safety, safety equipment, and safe running of the yacht; Principles for First Aid whilst at sea; Sea Survival techniques - including personal survival techniques, as well as offshore sailing in heavy weather and seas.
