After what has been for many a busy build up to what promises to be an exciting ARC Europe and ARC USA 2014, there is now less than 24 hours before the Rally office opens in Nanny Cay. Opening at 0900 tomorrow with over 11 boats of the 33 already in Tortola, we expect the day to be busy with skippers checking in and boat safety inspections throughout the day.
Tomorrow sees the start of the events social programme with welcome drinks on the beach terrace where many crews will meet each other for the first time. This said, with many returning yachts from previous events, the evening will also act as a rendesvous and opportunity to meet old friends. With rum punch and canapés followed by an optional BBQ on the beach it will no doubt be a great evening.
Nanny Cay is sure to become a hive of activity throughout the next week. A full programme of activities will keep crews entertained whilst yachts provision and prepare for the Rally start on Saturday. For those who are still making your way here, we look forward to welcoming you to Tortola.
