The Malts Cruise is the 'must do' cruising event in Scotland this year... join us!

United by a passion for sailing, scenery and single malt whisky, crews embark on a voyage through the Inner Hebrides. Starting in Oban with a traditional ceilidh, and parade of sail, the fleet heads up the Sound of Mull to Tobermory, to begin cruising the Small Isles. Yachts select their own routes, with a series of rendezvous to encourage exploration of the more remote islands and anchorages of west coast.

It's not just about sailing though, as the Malts Cruise is a wonderful opportunity to experience traditional Scottish hospitality, local specialities like delicious seafood and smoky single malt whisky, and to have a great time with your fellow cruisers.

The Isle of Skye, or Eilean a’ Cheò (the misty isle) is a key part of the Malts Cruise 2012 itinerary.  Skye is known for its romantic history, natural beauty and wildlife.  It is also the home of Talisker whisky!

During the Malts Cruise 2012 boats will be in the area of Skye between 11 and 15 July, and will be able to set their own itinerary.  There will be a cruise rendezvous in Loch Harport on 12- 13 July with an informal supper at the Old Inn in Carbost on Thursday 12th, and visits to the Talisker distillery are arranged for both days.
