The new day brought fabulous sailing conditions - smiles all round at 2AM when we confirmed the previous 24 hour run. However, only a short while later, Mother nature showed her fury and threw a curve ball, The hound snarled and took a scar for challenging such a powerful adversary.
We continue to average 8 knots at heading of 225 degrees as we sail offshore from Western Sahara and Mauritania towards Cabo Verde chasing the trade winds.
Mother nature has provided a light dusting of Sahara sand to make sure we don’t ignore our cleaning duties.
