Aliena - Lunes 14-12-2015

12º día de navegación desde Mindelo. En mi segunda guardia de esta noche, que en realidad es de 06h a 08h me he convencido de que Neptuno duerme por las noches y por eso el mar está mas tranquilo y a la salida del sol se despierta y por eso empieza de nuevo a agitarse el mar. Como viejo gruñon que debe ser se despierta a media noche para hacer pipí o tomar alguna medicina y por eso de repente hay unas olas incomprensibles. Noche tranquila salvo un incidente con un mercante indio que se nos paró delante y Miguel tuvo que darle unos gritos por la radio, Hoy tenemos poco viento y regular mar aunque mucho menos que dias atrás. Hemos pescado un dorado del que ya hemos dado buena cuenta. Estamos ya muy cerca de Saint Lucia, a 55 millas, en realidad enfrentados al Sur de Martinica y nuestro. read more...

TWIXX - in St Lucia!

Missie volbracht!Iedereen heel, boot heel en op de wind helemaalnaar de Caribbean gezeild. Trots en in jubelstemming, een heerlijk gevoel. Dat hebben we toch maar even gedaan. Het binnenvaren van de Marina was al fantastisch. Op de Lazy Linda werd spontaan muziek gemaakt en iedereen roept naar en feliciteert ons. Op de kade staan ze klaar van de ARC om ons aan te pakken. Maar dat is nog niet alles! Terwijl we de boot nog aan t vastknopen zijn komt er al iemand met een dienblad met rumpunch en een schaal met vers fruit. (En een fles rum tussen de bananen;))GEWELDIG! Rumpunch om 9 uur 's ochtends smaakt heerlijk na de overtocht;)Hier kunnen we wel aan wennen..... read more...

Sunrise 13.12.2015Tag 20 +FazitVorbei!18 Tage, 10 Stunden, 4 Minuten, 9 Sekunden.Was bleibt?Ein großes Erlebnis, ein wenig Abenteuer. Neue Erfahrungen mit sich selbst und anderen. Drei Wochen miteinanderklarkommen. Die Unmöglichkeit des Ausweichens, war die größte Herausforderung und das größte Risiko. Diese zwischenmenschlich fundamentale Seite hat unter den 6 Crew Mitgliedern mit Leichtigkeit und Gelassenheit funktioniert, die so nicht zu erwarten war. Trotz aller Schwierigkeiten während der Fahrt kam es nie zu einer Belastung dieses Verhältnisses. Alle Crew Mitgliedersind kommunikationsstarke Männer mit hoher Dialoglust und lebensbejahender Grundeinstellung. Sicher eine zufällige Konstellation. 11º día de navegación. Dia muy tranquilo con poco viento desgraciadamente y mucho calor. El viento es de popa casi cerrada aunque cambia de una aletaa otra constantemente y hace que naveguemos unos grados desviados -lo que faltaba- y de vez en cuando tengamos que trasluchar la mayor. Hemos puesto el yankee esta mañana y lo hemos tenido que quitar porque el poco viento no lo mantenía. Esto es una prueba dura de paciencia. No hemos visto barcos ni peces, ni siquiera los voladores de siempre, ni siquiera pescamos, ni siquiera huele a tierra. Solo comemos y solo veo los sargazos, a Miguel con bigote y a Carlos con barba ¡espantosos!El mar está mas tranquilo y mas azul, pero sigue siendo incómodo. Calypso - They think its all over - well it is now!

And that's it, done and dusted. I know this is a little late, but internet access here has been a tad problematic.So we arrived JUST before dark on Friday - at 17:09:13 on the 12th to be precise - making 19 days and a few hours at sea. A little longer than planned, but then we covered a few more miles than planned too (about 400 miles more than most in fact).We were welcomed with Rum Punch on the dock, and after putting the boat quickly to bed, headed off, first to say hi to friends and then to visit the street party that happens every Friday just down the road. There's probably plenty to tell about the street party, but it seems that nobody remembers very much at all (or at least that's their story).We've covered over 3,000 miles, spent almost 20 days in just each others company, and. read more...

Y2K - ARC - LAST DAY

La giornata scorre tranquilla.C'è anche più vento di quanto previsto, ne siamo felici perché arriveremo prima, ma purtroppo atterreremo di notte. Pazienza.Quando sul radar cominciamo a vedere i primi segni di terra, esplode un hurrà generale.In lontananza solo un bagliore nel cielo sopra la Martinica, ancora nessuna luce da St Lucia.I turni saltano, sono le 22.00, abbiamo da poco finito di cenare, ci regaliamo un piccolo sonnellino con turni di mezz'ora ciascuno, in modo da dormire un'ora e mezza ciascuno.All'una siamo tutti in piedi.Siamo a meno di 10 mg dal canale tra St Lucia e la Martinica. Ormai le luci da terra sono visibili. Ancora nessun profumo, ma siamo sopravvento è normale.In mare intorno a noi, vediamo altre luci verdi o rosse, altre barche che stanno convergendo verso St. read more...

Sinnen dem Urknall nach, der Ausdehnung des Universums und ziehen mit den Sternschnuppen, die mit feiner Leuchtspur über das Firmament eilen und dann überladen mit den Wünschen der Menschen, in einem der Sternbilder mit einem letzten Aufblitzen für immer verglühen.Die Tage werden zunehmend karibischer. Die Sonne brennt vom wenig bewölkten Himmel, das Meer wird noch eine Spur lichtblauer. Ein ereignisloser Tag dehnt die Stunden. Wenn da nicht das Schiff wäre. Hera - Zieleinlauf

Heute um 09.10 Uhr lokaler Zeit (MEZ-5h) haben wirdie Ziellinie überschritten und sind alle wohlbehalten auf St. Lucia angekommen.Beim Überlaufen der Ziellinie gabs noch ein kleines Malheur. Gernot drückte denKnopf unseres gewaltigen Signalhorns, der nach einmaliger Betätigung im Innerender Bootshülle verschwand. So konnten wir leider nicht ins Konzert all derSignalhörner, die uns in der Marina begrüßten einstimmen. Als wir am Liegeplatzfestgemacht hatten, mußten wir uns erstmal  mit bordeigenem Bier begnügenbevor das Empfangskomitee der ARC mit dem Rumpunch eintraf. Toujours Belle - 100 sm nach St. Lucia

Jetzt sind es noch 100 sm bis nach St. Lucia. Wir werden morgen früheinlaufen. Der Parasailor fehlt uns sehr. Wären damit schon längst imHafen. Nur mit Genua zieht sich das hin. Heute heißt es Schiff klar machen.Letzter Seetag. Alles aufräumen. Heute gibt es Steak zum Mittag. DieAufregung steigt. Tut gut auf dem Plotter die Inseln zu sehen. Ich denke,heute Nacht wird keiner von uns schlafen gehen. Es war bisher eine langeFahrt. 4 Tage Sturm, dann Flaute, ständig Welle bei bis zu 3m von hinten.Squalls. Tolle Sonnen Auf- und Untergänge. Tolle Nächte mit einemsagenhaften Sternenhimmel. Das Boot wurde in den 3 Wochen wirklich hartbeansprucht. Ständige Schläge der Wellen. Das Rollen belastet jegliche Artvon Aufbauten. Besonders den Mast. Bisher hat das Schiff das alles sehr gutweggesteckt.. read more...

11º día de navegación. Dia tranquilo de viento, pero con bastante mar, aunque a lo largo del dia ha mejorado mucho. Se nota que el Oceano se está convirtiendo en Mar y supongo que el poco viento tambien influye. Esta tarde y debido al poco viento, por fin hemos conseguido subir el yankee, que lo habíamos tenido que quitar porque se había roto intentando repararle un descosido -cosas del mar-. Se hace largo este trayecto y mas con las millas de ida y vuelta que hemos tenido que hacer por el problema de la mayor. Está lleno de unas algas que parecen helechos flotantes, a veces nos preguntamos si estamos en el mar de los sargazos. Se nota que estamos cerca porque han venido delfines y nos ha adelantado un barco de pasajeros con destino a Barbados que parecía una caja de zapatos flotante.. read more...

Rhumb - Day 19 - The Last Lap

A rather contemplative log as we close in on St Lucia.Having been out here alone for so long, paths now begin to merge as the remaining yachts make their final approaches to their destination. Thoughts turn to returning to some sense of normality once the euphoria and celebrations subside.It is only at this point that as an individual you begin to take in what you have managed to achieve.
