Offshore Training with Hamble School of Yachting
Hamble School of Yachting offer rally participants training dates and discounted prices for the ISAF Offshore Safety course, RYA Sea Survival and RYA First Aid courses. These are highly recommended for any skippers and crew going offshore, and especially for anyone participating in or considering the ARC, ARC Channel Islands, ARC Portugal and World ARC.

Training Weekends

The three courses can be taken over a long weekend or individually for those wishing to spread it out. For those of you that may already hold some of the certification the courses can be booked individually. Completing these courses gives you a holistic view of onboard safety and managing emergencies. Other Courses
Hamble also provide more advanced courses, suitable for those considering a career in sailing, or wanting to be more self-sufficient when long-term cruising. Courses include:
MCA STCW Proficiency in Medical First Aid - a 4 day course with more detailed knowledge than the basic one day course. Includes fractures, burns, spinal injuries, cardiac arrest, drowning and using Categorised medical equipment.
MCA STCW Proficiency in Medical Care - a 5 day course to follow-on from the course above, that will provide the skills and knowledge for medical care onboard a boat anywhere in the world.

Where?
All of the training takes place in bespoke classrooms at the School headquarters in Hamble, near Southampton in southern England.
Hamble is close to the M27 and M3 motorways, and the mainline railways station at Southampton. Southampton Airport is 15 minutes away, with connections to UK regional airports and European cities. There is ample parking on site, and a wide range of accommodation is available locally.
