Exocet Strike - 3-4 February 2017
Great nights sailing after a somewhat tepid afternoons sail.
The wind had other thoughts though. It's supposed to be just South of East and up to 15 knots. Instead by 0600 it had gone from ESE to SE and we were heading NW rather than the due West we wanted. So at 0900 this morning we gybed, however we soon discovered that the pin holding the spinnaker pole fitting at the mast end had sheared, could have been any time over the last few days. So I fitted a slightly smaller diameter pie of studding and all is ok, need to fix it properly in Salvador.
Not bothered fishing today, having a day off, it is Saturday after all!
