Jasmine - Day 4.

Day four arrives blustery and grey but we are travelling very nicely and all are well. It was a busy night with rain squalls and we brought our radar into play .It picks out the rain squalls up to 10 miles away and allows us to avoid the stronger winds associated with them .The night was also busy avoiding other yatchs .We encountered three during the hours of darkness. All three seemed to be coping with the conditions well and were dodging squalls with aplomb .
We are busy today also carrying out essential maintainence to our generator system and most importantly the desalination plant ,spending two more weeks in a confined space with four more guys and no shower water is not to be desired. At one point when Mike and I refitting a leaking copper pipe asked Nick if he had any olives [a small copper ring essential to a water tight seal] he replied rather testily I thought that HE hadnt packed the food away .Alls well now that everything is working .
- We are sailing in the direction we want to travel and are looking forward to a very clean two weeks .
