Albatross - Nov 21 - Second Day at Sea

Nov 21 - Second Day at Sea

All is well. Wind continuous to be light at 5-7 knots. We have been flying the spinnaker since we left Las Palmas and already jibbed twice in the last 24 hours! We are moving at around 5 knots, helped by one knot of favorable current following the route suggested by the weather routing service, which is north of the usual "Great Circle Route".

Today we had cereals and expresso coffee for breakfast, serrano ham sandwiches with tomato and olive oil for lunch, and paella with mussels and clams for dinner (Chuck, our "fussy" eater, had some cereals and ramen noodles).

Batteries are holding nicely even with both fridges on. We run the engine for about 1 1/4 hours this morning and got voltage back to 13.6. Our consumption seems to range from 4-9 amps.

Weather is warm and the one odd thing is the limited hours of daylight. Sun only rises after 6:30am and sets at about 6:00pm. Summer weather sailing with winter sun hours.
