Remedy - Midnight 40 to go

We are on our final approach now, just east of Tortola and company to our east pushing for the same goal. Janette and I have taken every midnight to 8 am watch and tonight is no different. The sailing vessel to our port is the first since leaving Portsmouth and is a welcome sight, if not a target to be tracked. A quick hail and a French pair of jacks responds, intentions acknowledged, I am on their AIS. Janette, Ed, and I sitting quietly as the miles role off in the cockpit, current speed 7 kt. As the sun rises we will have earned this passage and will proudly join the ranks of many others. Oh yeah, anyone that says this was a walk in the park l got words for you, your full of it. Just as I suspected, a new challenge for us tonight, lightening. No worries, we will handle it, as with all the other challenges of a November north to south passage in the North Atlantic. We should be at Scrub Island by 6 am and the marina welcome by 8 am. A bittersweet ending to another adventure
on Remedy.
