Lexington - Captain Bob: 10/15/2017. 19*. 54' south 059*. 07' east

It is a bright sunny day and we are about 100 from our port in Mauritius. The wind is somewhat light. We are not in a big hurry right now, hoping we will get there in the early morning light. A guess is that the majority of boats are within 75 miles of each other. One boat is about 300 miles behind and there were a couple about 150 miles ahead of the pack.

We have had a good passage with no engine hours. The first few days were more rough than most people would like.
I have finished reading the book on Che Guevara. It was long and detailed. It really opened my eyes on how much our governments are spending on spying, espionage and manipulating other governments. I do not know the answer but the answer does not appear to be obvious from history. I admittedly do not know much but I bet we could have bought off all the military in Iraq for what we spent to kill the ones we killed. Do not get me wrong, that is not the answer but it is a perplexing question. How much does it cost to kill an Iraq soldier? What should we be doing with Cuba now. The one thing that is easily said retrospectively is that there is to much subversive activities and too many unintended consequences. I am going to have to read and study a lot more before I can answer any of the questions.

May fair winds fill your sails with peace and understanding.
