Helen - Day 7

The crew of Helen have settled into a standard routine of watches, sleeping,
eating and general housekeeping. It's the latter point I would like to
expand on, as today a couple of us were assigned the task of searching that
big hole at the back of the boat (the LAZ) to check what drinks were stored
there. After some rummaging the appropriate box was located but when opened
the contents revealed a cocktail, the likes of which would not be shown in
any book I'm aware of, swilling around in the bottom. It transpired that
some of the cans had either exploded or simply developed holes. This led to
a deep and meaningful discussion on the quality of aluminium cans used by
the various companies supplying both soft drinks and not so soft drinks. We
did not come to a definitive conclusion, but by the end of this trip we may
sampled sufficient examples to give an informed decision.

Stop Press: "Flying Fish Invasion" Overnight flying fish made an attempt to
board and take over yacht Helen. One was found in the cockpit attempting to
gain entry through a hatch into the galley (obviously heard about the
excellent food being dished up by Wendy), but his attempts were foiled by
the skipper who returned him to the deep.
