EH01 - Eat Sleep Sail Repeat

Hi everyone,

The last 24 hours has provided us with some excellent sailing. With the wind
in the North it has provided fast reaching conditions allowing us to lay our
mark to the north of St Lucia perfectly. We made the decision as a crew to
maximise our VMG and proceed under white sails for the next day or so until
the wind veers around to the east again. Fingers crossed this decision pays
off as we continue on our mission to crack into the top 5 overall!!

The weather was a bit on the chilly side this morning but it has now turned
into a glamour afternoon with the sun shining and 15-20 knots of wind just
ahead of the beam. All the crew are enjoying life in their shorts and
t-shirts, makes a nice change from the foul weather gear!!

As usual with these trips the crew are developing very close bonds with each
other. Lots of topics of conversation have been covered but it has mostly
been focused around everyone discussing their families etc. We even had some
tears yesterday... but I wont say who from!! I have given the crew chance to
say a few words below...

Great sailing and crew, travelling at up to 14 knots with a spinnaker with
AC DC playing in the sunshine, how much better does it need to be. Hope all
is well with Sue and Gemma Mum and Dad and the rest of the family and
friends following his blog and will see you soon following this great
adventure.

Day 5 in the Big Ehoi Household :) Finally turned the corner after 4 days of
vomiting. Food never tasted so good! Great views of glow-in-dark algae while
hanging over the side of the rail though :) Lots of love to all xxx

EH01 is the best and we have fantastic Skipper, First Mate and crew. We are
heading for the sunny Caribbean and rum punch. Enjoying the sailing craic
and getting sealegs. Lots of love to all at home xxx Sara

After 5 days @ sea & 700 nautical miles I finally believe I am living the
dream of crossing the Atlantic! I have just about accustomed to hot bunking,
not washing, living out of a 20 litre barrel bag & the aroma of smelly socks
or something!! Having the time of my Life in great company including a fab
skipper & first mate. Karen

Awesome trip so far. Hanging over the rail with 4000mts below, making good
passage, with great sailing night and day!!!! Love to all Trevor

Well that's all for today everyone!
