Lexington - Captain Bob: one check of the list

Just recently we crossed the equator. Ann did not even get out of bed. The four guys had a little celebration consisting of taking photos of the chart plotter and toasting each other. I offer a good bourbon to Neptune in honor of Pete Haggerty and Tom Grundwald. They were adventurous to a greater degree than me. They are missed and remembered by many friends.
The bourbon was a gift from Jim a Simpson. It was Jefferson's Ocean Aged At Sea Cast Strenght. It was fitting for a tribute to Neptune.
So far since leaving Annapolis we have logged over 4,000 miles with a bunch to go. We will end up with over 30,000 miles. Not bad for a boy who used to paddle down Elkhorn Creek using a shovel for a paddle. This is crazy!
Back to something more normal. Kent Kessler let me know that my bees are doing well under his care. He agreed to take all my bees until I get back to take care of them. Kent will be hosting the Madison County Bee Keepers Field Day this year. He reports that all the bees are flying on pretty days and beginning to collect pollen and nectar. He expects to have a good year if all of his hives have made it thru the winter. Bee keepers are all optimistic.
That is all the rambling for this morning. It is 3 am and it is my watch.
Hope you are well. You might be worried about your mental health if you are reading what I write. At least it might help you sleep.
