Whauuu - we are speeding directly towards St. Lucia. The latest 24 hours we have made 132 nautical miles, which is a new record for us. We have, since yesterday evening had a very stable wind of 18 - 22 knots - which has ensured us a very fine minimum speed of 6 knots. The latest 3-4 hours we have logged more than 7 knots - and right now we are doing 7,7 knots - NICE.

The heat and the sun makes it difficult to sit outside in the cockpit. So yesterday Oliver rigged a sun shade which gives a lot of shade inside the cockpit. Especially Orla is very happy with this solution.

Yesterday Bente treated us all with a fantastic salad for lunch. Actually is was so delicious, we felt compelled to take a picture and upload it to our ARC log.

As described earlier, we have had a ventilation system going - with the big skylight in the for cabin open. The latest two days - we have actually sailed with the skylight constantly opened. It has vastly improved out indoor climate - and it was absolutely no problem when the wind was blowing at 16-18 knots. Now the wind is steady above 20 knots, which also means bigger swell - which again means more tilting - and the open skylight was immediately punished. A huge wave rolled across the tilting ship, spilling several liters of seawater down the skylight. Most of it landed on the floor and only a small amount landed in our bed.

Now the skylight is closed.
