It is now 10.45 UTC, and the wind has been with us since it came last night at 02.45. This also means bigger swell, and therefore also a more rolling kind of sailing.

This has affected the crew, and seasickness has been our steady companion for the last 24 hours. Especially Maiken has been hit hard, but we hope that it will pass within the next 48 hours.

The wind has been steady at 20 knots, and we are sailing a pleasent beam reach, right now on course 260, in order to minimize the rolling.

Yesterday we had sandwich with ham and red pepper for lunch. For dinner we had planned to make a nice big Chinese inspired portion of fried nudles, but the sea was to uncomfortable for such culinaric endeavors.

Så instead Oliver and I mixed a pot of fried chicken pieces, spiced with half a glass of Patak's Madras Pasta, red pepper, mushrooms and some full cream to make the sauce. We had to be inventive in order for the pots and pans to stay on the stow while cooking, but we managed, and the result turned out to everybody's liking. Lene made a nice salad to got with it, and we all had nice ice cold watermaker water to rinse it all down.

Yesterday afternoon was also the day when we got our first "hit" on our fishing lines. Apparently the fish was to big for our fishing equipment, as it, after spooling the reel almost empty, ran away with the lure. So now the fish will probably have problems eating until it gets the lure out of its mouth.

A part from the seasickness and the big fish, we have only seen what we believe to be an oil rig bound for the Canaries.
We passed each other in 5 NM distance, so no worries there.
