Widago - Halloween on "S" Dock

When we first arrived in Las Palmas, WIDAGO was pleasantly greeted by K1W1 BEANS, and informed that we had in fact landed on “Sesame Street”, also known as “S” Dock. In their great wisdom, ARC/ARC+ organizers did their best to put all the family boats together on the same pontoon. This is a huge bonus for us - to quote David, “Mom, this is awesome. We haven’t played with kids in, like, six months!” Our deepest apologies to any of y’all on Sesame Street who:
1. Don’t have kids
2. Don’t appreciate getting caught in the cross-fire of daily water gun battles
3. Enjoy music other than Bob Marley and The Grateful Dead
4. Prefer to enjoy quiet, peaceful evenings, afternoons, mid-mornings rather than listen to the rolling thunder of Moseleys on parade
5. Have never seen a boat trying to dry 47 pairs of underwear at once.

Even though the ARC+ family picnic was not held on Halloween, “S” Dock could not be held back from celebrating Halloween. Boats were decorated. Full-size candy bars offered and eaten. Disco Balls, Scary monster voices, rowdy parents, spooky stories & poems….and mass celebrations from Kiwis for the All Blacks World Cup Rugby Finals Championship win. Well Done!

We are so grateful to be surrounded by such great families as we all get ready to make this voyage across the Atlantic!
