Easy Rider - Day 3 (leg 2) - Midshipman Neil

A day of high adventures!

Squalls and more squalls.....the good side is a blast of wind as the squall hits, propelling us to St Lucia the down side is the margin between progress and loss of progress is narrow as we discovered to our cost. A particularly fearsome looking squall was bearing down on us and we delayed bringing in the head sail two minutes too long. As a result the sail wouldn't furl and we had to drop the whole sail in a particularly vicious but thankfully shortlived squall. Fortunately no harm done to boat or crew but our speed was reduced overnight and we had plenty to ponder on as we had a full english cooked breakfast cooked to pefection by Soy to fortify us for the task ahead - untangling the sail and then re-hoisiting it. After 90 minutes of tireless effort by Cabin Boy Max under the direction of Captain Dave saw the sail hoisted and in better shape then before.

All's well that ends well and we resume our quest for the Caribbean in good spirits.

Hey..no harm done???? my central nervous system is still in shreds -Soy
