Paw Paw - Log Days 235 & 236: The Social Aspect of Tonga

Since it has continued to pour with rain and remain overcast, with the temperatures having dropped significantly as well, we found no compelling reason to get up early yesterday morning or this morning, so we just stayed in bed.

Elaine, however, was eventually forced to leave our cocoon yesterday to meet Lori from " Seams To Me" in order to hand over the dinghy chaps for overhauling and we had to collect our t-shirts as well.

After getting both matters out of the way and enjoying yet another morning coffee to warm up, we headed back to Paw Paw, where Elaine decided to pass the afternoon baking a chocolate cake. By then it was time to meet Nina at the "Dancing Rooster" for happy hour and dinner, followed by Quiz Night at the "Bounty Bar".

This morning the ladies enjoyed morning tea aboard Paw Paw while the men gathered in the "Mango Cafe". Needless to say, the chocolate cake was well received.

This afternoon we've spent our time researching the various routes to New Zealand for cyclone season and have decided that we'll make the trip from Fiji after all, given that we still have a number of months left of this sailing season.

For now though, were enjoying the social aspect of Tonga and looking forward to meeting Nina and Cetacea on shore later this evening.
