Jambo - still motoring

It really is a strange sensation to be miles from anywhere and to experience complete silence, no artificial light and totally flat seas. The sea was so flat last night that it looked as if Jambo was floating in a pool of mercury under the moonlight . We may get some wind on Monday but the forecasting is saying that Tuesday lunch time is better provided we push north up to 39/40 degrees to catch favourable winds as the Azores High drops South. It looks like the UK will be getting some rough weather.our plan is therefore to motor on and use the fuel we have and just hope that the winds come....it's certainly going to be close but we will have to save enough fuel to get into Horta safely.
We struggled to get out of some adverse currents which form to southern end of the North Atlantic current( Gulf Stream ) but some have an extra push from this of about half a knot , every little bit counts.
Deck showers may be the order of the day to freshen up.
Spinner Dolphins playing in our bow wave this morning made a great spectacle as we had breakfast - they make it all look so effortless
