World ARC 2019-20 Leg 17 - Brazil to Grenada

Today the World ARC fleet left Marina de Jacare in Cabedelo for the last competitive leg from Brazil to Grenada.
During the last two days skippers have been busy with clearances out with Immigration, Custom and Port authorities and with the preparation of the yachts.
A group of participants went on a tour to visit the beautiful city of Olinda and its surrounding others preferred shopping and provisioning at the local mall.

On Monday participants enjoyed the farewell dinner, with caipirinhas as welcome drink, and traditional Brazilian food “Fejoada” made of black beans, white rice, orange and baby spinaches. After dinner participants relax and enjoyed the live band music playing traditional songs. 

On the next morning crews attended the last skipper briefing covering the leg to Grenada via Devils Island; after nearly a month spent in Brazil all yachts are now well underway to Caribbean, back to where everything started 15 months ago.
