This is being written to send later when we have a connection.

The weather has moderated a little. The wind is 16-21 knots and the seas are 6-10 feet. There is a pod of boats that are all sailing the rhumb line and staying moderately close even though we would all like to leave the others behind in our wake.

I have enjoyed reading three books by Stephen Ambrose on WWII. He focuses on Company D which was a company of paratroopers who distinguished themselves at D Day and thru out the war. He did and excellent job of personalizing the people he was writing about. I am not much of a reader but these books were interesting and there is a lot of free time to dispose of.

I have thought a little about what I will do upon returning to a more normal life. I will have to adjust to retirement or go back to work. Either way I will probably drive some people nuts. I might as well take them with me to the nut house.
I hope all is well with everyone reading this post. I find it hard to believe that you are still reading.

May fair winds fill your sails with sanity.

Bob
