Lexington - Captain Bob: Capetown

We are trying to see as much as we can of Capetown. We went to the Sixth District Museum It was well done. The Sixth District was an area in Capetown that was cleared out during apartheid. It was an area where many of the poor immigrants had settled. The museum pointed out that all races were living very well together in this area before the legislation of apartheid. There were 42 areas in South Africa that were cleared of their racially diverse populations to make way for an all white population. This was the Group Areas Act. It is hard to imagine it happening but then again it is hard to imagine a population following the leadership of Hitler.
