Mischief - HI HO!

The infamous partner of Duncideock treacle mine lead his crew towards the start line in Plymouth cheered on from the shore by his noteworthy business partner Rumpelstiltskin. As a salute to Crumpledforeskin a cry of HIHO was made across the airwaves. A local Devonshire bylaw permits Treacle Miners the right to use this pro-word as correct radio procedure. The crew of Dave's worked together like a well oiled spring. Dave on the helm, Dave and Dave on the winch, Dave on watch, not forgetting Dave on the lazy sheet. Mabel the mouse taking it upon herself to squeak orders at the crew. After tight manoeuvring on the start line Mischief to Mabel's delight, found herself leading the fleet out of Plymouth Sound. Close hauled out into open waters, the wind reached 32 knots necessitating the use of one reef and two rolls in the Genoa. Waves broke over the bow and washed through the cockpit. WOOHOO!!!!! Dave was granted "Man of the match" for braving the galley, producing spaghetti bolognese for a grateful crew. Tactician Dave busied himself with his slide rule working out precise tactics to ensure a successful result. The day culminated in a screaming finish that will challenge the maths of the committee to decide upon the overall winner.............We wait in anticipation of results evening. Great sail in tricky weather.
