Lexington - Home Sweet Home

We left Moorea before dark. We are sailing about 80 miles to the next island. Karen fixed dinner tonight. She fixed a big beef roast with potatoes in the pressure cooker and Wonder Bag. She also fixed a salad with beets, one of my likes and then she topped it off with pineapple upside down cake with whipped cream topping which is my favorite cake.
If you do not know what a Wonder Bag is, it is a big insulated cloth bag used to slow cook. It was developed for poor African communities with limited fuel. The idea is that you use your fuel to get the pot up to cooking temperature and then put it into their insulated bag which will keep the temperature up for 4-8 hours. You can also use a pressure cooker with the same idea. We got one to try to preserve fuel. It is just a different crock pot.
