Exocet Strike - 25-26 January 2017

Yesterday was a fun day, started going snorkelling with Whale Sharks. They are similar to Basking Sharks in both size and feeding, they have a filter mechanism to catch small fish eggs etc. They are pretty large 10 to 14 metres, but totally harmless to humans.
We went ashore in the afternoon for some shopping, unfortunately it was early closing day but we managed to get a lot of tinned food.
We also cleared out yesterday for today, which they are more than happy to do.
We went ashore this morning for fresh produce, which is usually brought down from the hill farms on a Thursday.
So today at 1300 we cast off from our mooring buoy and said our farewells to St Helena. A very friendly place and worthy of visiting when the airport is open. The diving here was better Han the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, to my mind. It's also a much more remote destination than many others you could go to.
Crime is almost non existent, people leave keys in unlocked cars, don't lock up their houses etc, and everyone is so friendly. Must return sometime.
It's off to Brasil now, Salvador is where we are planning to go at first then up the coast to Cabadelo, which his a little way north of Recife. Then in March back up to the Caribbean.
