Ocean Sailing Seminar (Los Angeles) 2017: Learn from the cruising experts and meet fellow sailors on Saturday October 14th at the Los Angeles Yacht Club, San Pedro
Meet other cruising sailors for a relaxed and social day of learning from the experts how to prepare for ocean cruising. Open to all, the seminar is perfect for those considering the transition from coastal cruising to blue water passage making, perhaps sailing in ARC Pacific or considering a round the world voyage. We aim to provide a cost-effective, enjoyable in-depth learning experience.
"It was very informative and a must for anyone thinking of undertaking bluewater cruising." said Andy Hilton who previously attended one of WCC's Ocean Sailing Seminars - two years on, he and his family joined World ARC and completed their circumnavigation in April.
At the seminar, World Cruising Club's Jake Albano will join with a panel of experiened maritime professionals to teach you about the boat and crew preparation required for ocean sailing, from selecting equipment and checking your rig to offshore communications and ocean sail plans; feeding the crew and what to stock in your med-kit. This seminar will give you the knowledge and inspire the confidence you'll need to achieve your sailing goals.
