Easy Rider - Log 4, days 6 to 10

Day 6: Record run! 190 miles. Beautiful. Evening watch David and I were sitting on helm. Thought I heard his cup drop at my feet.Looked down to see a UFO- a flying fish! We squealed like gals. Smith kicked the brute into the corner - my hero!

Day 7: Only thing of interest- genny kept tripping out. Appears electric kettle was causing problem so back to the gas kettle. Slumming again.

Day 8 : Stormy night. Winds up to 40 knots. We were summoned urgently and while grabbing clothes and lifejackets to scurry upstairs I thought David said 'Sail has fallen out of bag'. Sweet mother of God, what do we do now? Misheard what he said ...one of our travelling bags had tipped over. Put 2nd reef in main sail and main sail resting comfortably in her hammock.
Water leak repaired! Great mirth on Easy.

Day 9: Hurrah! We have reached the 1/2 way mark. To celebrate we had rib eye steak (excellent, again from the missing link) and chips. I was banned from champers as David says it makes me rather odd. Ah well had a huge sundowner and went into a coma. I told the boys I had too many sea sick tablets. You know what? They believed me!

Day 10: Winds died at 1800 hours and we were wandering around for a while. At one time we were heading for Canada! After 8 hours Easy stopped her wandering wind picked up and we were heading for St. Lucia again.

I should mention that our skipper (leader, king) Carlos is into fitness and daily does TRX lashed to the mast. This is our leader, the man we trust to get us to our destination. Hmmm think it's time for another sea sick tablet.

Soy.

P.S  Missing a bit of Geordie humor here!
