Salt - Salt is back in touch

Hi all happy sailors, we hope you enjoy the ride :-) Sorry for the silence from Salt, we have had some communication issues, among all other things. :-) As you may have noticed we have chosen a more southerly route, based on previous experience, and it has cost us, but we have still hopes to cash in on our sacrifice later.

Fishing is a competition not meant for us. Lost two big ones (lost ones are all giants) and we lost one lure, but we keep trying since we love sashimi.

Two out of four batten cars broken in sloppy gibes, had a bladder problem ( on the gennaker sock!) but had a spare. Sock had a 2 m tear so I spent yesterday with my brother ( sewing machine ) in the cockpit, and its now fixed. So at last we will hoist the gennaker after two slow days on genoa only.

Two broken screws on the forestay alu-profile had to drill new holes to make it roll in the genoa.

We have a gennaker sheet entangled in the hydro generator, and it is stuck on the tracks so we can't get it up.
When it comes to racing I fear I'm in minority here on Salt now doing only 7 knots.
The catch up we have done the last days is only due to our chosen route and gybing on shifts.
