Kali - Taking Black Mamba for a walk on the Atlantic

Good morning Atlantic,

Kali is up and running again! With our spinnaker (the Black Mamba) up front, we are steadily and happily making our way south.
Okay, there have been some minor hickups: we have some doubts about the functionality of our AIS system and our bilges have seen some salt water. The good news is: there is absolutely no traffic here and we have an incredibly skilled crew member who has managed to fix the salt water pump so for the moment there are no more worries.
Our skipper delighted the crew with a creamy coconut curry with roasted almonds and coconut flakes on top and so we have sailed well nourished into a beautiful starry night. We applied the knowledge from the ARC seminar to find Polaris and determine our latitude. During the night we were accompanied by different zodiac signs (we might have made some of them up), the Mars and countless shooting stars, mirrored by fluorescent plankton in the water. During the day, dolphins, different kinds of seabirds, flying fish and the odd butterfly made sure we have so far never felt lonely.

Fair winds,
Team Kali
