Morgane of Sark - Friday on the Morgane of Sark

It’s Friday night. We have been “en route” for a week now and sailed 1030 miles so far. The last 24 hours, we finally had a day-distance we are happy with. We sailed about 160 miles, came 152 miles closer to Grenada.

The wind conditions are great at the moment. Still 15-17 knots, NE. But, our wind meter doesn’t work that well. We are back at butterflying, with the cutter jib in between. SOG is 265 degrees and our SOG around 6,5 -7 knots. Current position is N 11* 45. 63 and W 40* 12.80.

What else did we do today. Not that much actually. Although, we started a push up challenge with Charlotte Sometimes. So, the cabin turned into a sports class this afternoon. The girls both did 50 push ups. It’s nice to do some exercises. But, it’s not all that easy on the ever rocking boat.

Mila and Merel have daily quizzes (true or false) on the SSB with the guys from High Cotton. We truly enjoy the daily chats on the SSB with the other boats.

Days and nights just float into each other and time actually passes quickly. We have set our “board clock” backwards one hour. We live UTC -2 now. Moving clearly westward…
In our watch schedule, we spend time together for dinner and sunset and breakfast. Don’t want to end up having our communal sunset watch somewhere in the afternoon.

We think that we can celebrate “Halfway” tomorrow afternoon. If we keep up this speed.
