On 30th of October at 1125 Hrs, we saw a little
triangle, at first I thought it was a whale and got very excited. However, once
the wave went down, the boat revealed itself.
It felt very dramatic as none of us knew if we were
about to find a stranded sailor or worse, a dead person. We put our sails down,
switched the engines on and turned around for a closer
inspection.
To our relief, the boat was empty with a good engine and
empty water bottles. (Luckily no skeletons although I secretly hoped we would
have found one)
The boat had the following text on the bow 'Mona
12.1.11985'
Who knows what stories Mona has to
tell but it shows how mysterious Atlantic ocean can be and that is pretty
exciting!
Ps. if anyone needs a spare engine (last maintained on
12.1.1985), the boat was last seen at the following coordinates:
N20 '18 W 033 '04 at 1125 Hrs on 30th October
2020.
