Day 6 since we left Las Palmas and another beautiful
sunny day in the Atlantic. Yesterday evening, as we where enjoying our sundowner
and waiting for dinner, a delicious
maroccan chick pea prepared by Steve the chef of the day, we caught two nice
Dorados. Nothing the team could not handle, as you can see on the picture, where
our top fishermen, Dan an DJ are busy filetting the fish. A nice starter of thin
sliced Dorado with soya and wasabi, was added to the dinner. Finally the main
course was also topped with fried fish. What a feast!!
Later on we had a perfect night with a steady strong
wind, and with the butterfly up all night, we made good progress with smooth
Skyelark sailing. So smooth that we
just crossed the “1999 miles left to St. Lucia” line. It was of course
celebrated with loud music on deck. 1999 by Prince.
Everybody knows our daily watch system, which is now an
integrated part of our daily routines.
One of the daily routines is not a daily shower, but
today the conditions was perfect for a saltwater deckshower on the forepeak in
the sun and wind. Easy to get addicted to crossing the Atlantic.
