This was a “free” day. We slept later than usual and after breakfast I went back to the coffee shoppe of yesterday to purchase two more bazzmzn pies and a loaf of bread. Too bad, no pies until Monday!! I was very sad. Then we went to find the bus stop. Here we met two lovely folks from further south in Australia that invited us to share their taxi ride to the shopping mall. At Caneland shopping mall we had reverse culture shock. Here we were back in a firstworld country! Wow! The most amazing shopping day ever! We set out with our list, and lo and behold, at the end of just three short hours we had found every single item on the list! Unheard of! Fantastic! We came home via taxi and put all our stuff away. Debra from Tumi came by and dropped off a world famous pinnacle pie. A really nice couple on Storm buoy came for happy hour and gave us tips on good anchorages from here to Darwin, then we enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner and turned in, anticipating our 04:00 wake up to go see Wallabies in the beach!image2.
