Trifon - Trifon
Monday 20th
Our trip down the coast of Gran Canary ended in a spinnaker broach near
sunset. No damage to spinnaker but the guard rails in the water ripped off
the danbuoy canister. We then proceeded to jump the traveller car of the
mainsheet traveller and had ball bearings bouncing round the cockpit
following a heavy gybe without the boom brake fully engaged. several hours
of repairs were necessary to fix this issue.
Lumpy 25-30 knot wind overnight welcomed our crew to the acceleration zone
south of the island. Today the sea is calmer we are sailing in sunny
conditions in 15knts of wind and all is well on board.
