Timshel - Bora Bora to Suwarrow Day 2 - 3

Slow progress in light winds. We are now in a world of our own again as our nearest companions Zeeland and also Owl and Exit Strategy put on their engines and motored ahead. We never quite ran out of wind so carried on sailing slowly, there is still 1000 miles to go to reach Niue (assuming one can get fuel there?) so don't want to be too profligate with the diesel yet. During the night, both Steve and I saw a bright green/white flash in the sky - meteorite or shooting star?, similar reported by other boats during the morning SSB net. Put up the cruising chute (first time since had to cut it down on Marquesas leg), seemed OK, broad reaching and making some northing (as forecast says weather better N of 14 degS). The sail really needs hand steering, so took it down before dark and set poled out yankee. Need to gybe soon though. The other half of the fleet started at 15.00 from Bora Bora so no doubt they will be catching us up.
