Timshel - Galapagos to Marquesas Day 20

Another quiet day sailing gently in the sunshine, would really like a bit more speed. If you are doing your Astronav notable as the Equinox where the declination of the sun changes from South to North. We had another go but I think we need to set up the sextant again, it doesn't seem quite right. Also becoming increasing noticeable how diverged we are from Sun time as we haven't changed the clocks since Galapagos - mainly because the radio schedules and the finish is on Galapagos time. But 3 time zones on, sunrise is now after 8.30. The wind changed this afternoon round to ENE so we gybed onto starboard and set up the pole etc again. This is the first change we have made, apart from rolling sails in and out a bit, for a week since we set the pole last Monday night after the fiasco with the cruising chute. A couple of boats are already in Hiva Oa, several are motoring as fast as they can towards the finish and more will get there tomorrow. Meanwhile we are celebrating 500nm to go!
