Hello everyone. I am weather router located in southwest Florida. My company name and marine ssb callsign are "Ocean-Pro Weather". I am a long time sailor, (150,000 nm), weather router, ham (K9KKY) and regular Noonsite sponsor. If I can help with weather and routing related questions please post here or email me, Bob Cook, at captcook@ocean-pro.com. Cheers.

I'm assisting a friend sailing (Shannon 37') from Lake Superior out the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Azores, then south to Patagonia and on to Antarctica. We are not now familiar with weather router services, but probably should be. Can you describe what you do and how you do it ?
thank you.

Bob,
I have sailing experience in (AU) and hold a commercial skipper license.
I have never sailed in EU, I just bought a new 48' cat in La Rochelle, France; I will take possession mid September.

I will eventually take her to Australia, I have no plan yet, but one to three years will be OK.
That time of the year, would it be advisable to go for Canaries, Carabbean, etc or go into the Med and spend the winter in Turkey?
Consider that I have big cat experience, but do not know this boat at all and that I will be sailing with my wife who even though like the sea, is a relatively inexperienced sailor.

Keep smiling
Stefano

Hi Bob,
I'm looking for info on noonsite and came accross your post.
I'm in Labuan Malaysia heading to Sandakan and then down to
Sulawesi-end Sept latest.
I need to get to Port Stephens NSW coast late Nov.
WHat's your best suggestion?
Coulod you also provide me with info on obtaining weather faxes for
these regions/ through the getfax program HF/pactor....
I don't have sail mail but do have a sat ph though would rather get
free weather if possible.
Thanks in advance any information you may be able to pass on to me,
regards
