Linda and Mike are New Zealanders based in Red Beach northof Auckland we are both 66 years old semi retired and veterans of many yearssailing in the pacific Australia and Asia. We are building a 15M displacementpower cat which will launch about February 2018 we will have around a 2000 milerange, cruising at 10 knots. Our intention is to head for the West coast ofCanada via Guam Japan and Alaska and places in between. Being social people wewould like to talk to like minded people on either sail or power boats with thegoal of travelling together, we don’t need or want to be joined at the hip butwould enjoy rendezvous along the way and to be able to compare notes andcruising knowledge. We are open to others ideas and would love to hear from youif this interests you. Contact on mikehanalike@gmail.com.

We are kiwi and British couple looking to buy a sailing yacht and sail around the world. We have preiviously worked as flotilla crew in the Greek islands and are now saving in New Zealand to buy our boat. We are now looking into where to buy the boat as New Zealand has very few options in our price range (under $40000 nzd). We are wanting to know the logistics of us buying a boat possibly near the Gulf of Mexico or the Caribbean, maybe Florida. Then we plan to sail back to New Zealand and then continue our trip north west from New Zealand.

Considering our sircumstances can we, Buy abroad then get the boat kiwi registration immediately whilst overseas (what are the logistics of this)
