I am planning to depart the West Coast of the US around October/November and would like some advise on the best route to Sydney, AUS, that time of year. I have looked at the World Routes guide but it gets very vague once you get closer to Australia.

I have a window of between now (Sept) and May. Any advise would be very gratefully received.

Thanks

Steve,

Are you referring to Jimmy Cornell's World Routes guide? I don't have it in front of me at the moment but I am pretty sure leaving the West Coast of the U.S. in October/November is not recommended. Departures from the West Coast of the U.S. and Mexico usually take place after the Pacific Hurricane season ends. April.
