We have a daily Long Range Radio net 'gathering' for anyone to join-in.

Daily Times: 0600 UT = 0800 Central European Time = 0900 Eastern European Time.

Frequencies: Firstly 6516 kHz. When check-ins are complete on this frequency the controller will change to 8131 kHz and then finally 12359 kHz. (all SSB mode J3E/USB).

This net has been running for several years, sometimes known as the MedNet and sometimes known as the DragNet. It's always useful and pleasurable to chat to friends, old and new. It's also good for exchanging info and getting latest news from others who have recently visited somewhere of interest. Presently, yachts are mostly checking-in from areas N Aegean, S Aegean, Peloponnisos, Sicily, Turkiye and Italy.

This net can also provide useful opportunity for people heading W - to test their long range radio, as well get used to using it - before needing to rely on it when later in deep blue water.
